Chipotle tests chorizo

In a relatively a rare move for Chipotle Mexican Grill, the restaurant began testing a new menu item Tuesday.

Made with a blend of chicken and pork and seasoned with paprika, cumin and chipotle peppers, the chain's chorizo is currently selling in its Kansas City restaurants.

This is not the first time Chipotle has toyed with the idea of adding chorizo. The chain tested a chicken chorizo four years ago in New York.
