How do you follow up one of the greatest comeback stories in the restaurant business?

Ritch Allison is finding out. The CEO of Domino’s Pizza was handed the keys to one of the industry’s strongest performers in June with the retirement of longtime chief executive Patrick Doyle.

In this week’s edition of RB's podcast, “A Deeper Dive,” Allison talks about the challenges of maintaining momentum after such a long comeback.

Domino’s same-store sales have increased for 30 straight quarters, increasing the chain’s average unit volumes by more than two-thirds over that time. And in international markets, Domino’s same-store sales have increased every quarter for 25 years.

Allison, who led the company’s international business before he was promoted to CEO, talks about that international growth and what it means to the business. And he discusses the chain’s digital efforts and how the company can continue to make it easier for consumers to order pizza.
