Damarr Brown is chef de cuisine at Virtue Restaurant and the 2023 recipient of the James Beard Award for Emerging Chef.

Virtue is a high-end Southern restaurant located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago with a menu that honors heritage recipes. Brown cooks up Lemon Chicken, a dish he grew up eating and has now elevated into a signature at Virtue.
