Starbucks is taking its olive oil coffee national

The coffee giant will start selling its Oleato beverages throughout the U.S. this week and is adding a new option for good measure.

Those of you who want a shot of caffeine with your monounsaturated fats are in luck.

Starbucks on Monday said it plans to start offering its Oleato line of beverages—you know, the line of espresso-based drinks infused with olive oil—nationwide starting on Tuesday. So those of you bored with adding animal or nut fats to your coffee can now add fruit fats to your beverages.

The company unleashed its Oleato concoction on the world last year, with former CEO Howard Schultz declaring it a “transformational innovation in coffee.” The company then offered it at a limited number of locations but has been expanding that availability since then.

In the process, Starbucks is also debuting a pair of new beverages: The Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso with Toffeenut and the Oleato Caffé Latte with Oatmilk.

The Iced Shaken Espresso features Starbucks Blonde espresso combined with toffeenut syrup and oatmilk and topped with Oleato Golden Foam, vanilla sweet cream cold foam infused with Partanna extra-virgin olive oil.

The latte features Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast with oatmilk, infused with olive oil. It is available iced or hot.

Starbucks has high hopes that its Oleato line can be its latest revolutionary product. Schultz, whose trip to Italy inspired the line, has himself called it a “game-changer.” Oleato was greeted with skepticism initially in the U.S., but has apparently done well enough in early markets that the company is pushing forward with the product.
