Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill on Tuesday named Nico Nieto its new chief marketing officer.

The Chicago-based chain, which operates 35 locations, said that Nieto will focus on growing its “third-party channels, digital capabilities and customer acquisition, loyalty and retention initiatives.”

Nieto has more than two decades in the marketing business. He has worked with companies like McDonald’s, Capital One and Volvo. At Naf Naf he will lead advertising, loyalty and promotional programs.

“We’re looking to take the next step in our brand’s growth with an eye towards data-driven decisions and an increased focus on our customer experience,” Naf Naf CEO Greg Willman said in a statement. “Nico has a track record of doing exactly that.”

Naf Naf has added seven locations, three of them in new markets, in the first half of the year. The company expects to open another four in the second half of 2022 and plans 15 more restaurants in 2023.
