Sonic promotes Claudia San Pedro to president

The company also promoted Corey Horsch to CFO and elected a new director.

Sonic Corp. on Friday said it had promoted Claudia San Pedro to company president and also promoted Corey Horsch to chief financial officer as part of a management shift.

Claudia San Pedro

San Pedro had been CFO since 2015 and was a 12-year company veteran. In her new role, she will be responsible for franchisee relations, supply chain, franchise sales and development and business planning.

“Claudia’s focus on building relationships, business acumen and strategic mindset position the company well for future growth,” Sonic CEO Cliff Hudson said in a statement. He called San Pedro “a highly skilled leader with an eye for developing talent.”

Horsch, meanwhile, joined Sonic in 2015 as vice president of investor relations and treasurer. He will take over San Pedro’s responsibilities in charge of financial planning, internal audit, accounting and tax. He will maintain leadership of investor relations and treasury.

Oklahoma City-based Sonic also named S. Kirk Kinsell to its board of directors. Kinsell is a principal partner at Panther Ridge Partners, an investment and advisory company focused on the hospitality sector.

There are 3,500 locations in the Sonic system. Franchisees operate 94% of the chain’s locations.
