Restaurant brands large and small added new corporate employees this week.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux announced two new appointments. Andy Izquierdo has been named vice president of communications, and Trey Hughes is the new senior director of franchise sales.

Izquierdo was previously president of communications for Denny’s and was a chief communications officer for Sound Transit and Waste Management. He has also been an executive with Belk department stores and PetSmart, and was a vice president of global public affairs for KFC.

Trey Hughes

Hughes was a franchise owner of 7 Brew Coffee and was senior director of business development for the automotive services franchise company Driven Brands. He is tasked with supporting Walk-On’s franchise growth.

 

Heather Rivas

At Next Level Brands Hospitality Group, Heather Rivas has been promoted to the position of director of operations for all of the Tampa, Fla.-based group’s concepts, including Forbici Modern Italian, Union New American, and Boulon Brasserie and Bakery. Rivas previously served as a general manager for Boulon.

 

Jessica Helft

Jessica Helft has been promoted to general manager at Husk Savannah which is part of Neighborhood Dining Group. Helft joined NDG at the Nashville location of Husk after serving at The Sutler Saloon, where she earned a Level 1 with the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2018.

Angela Kavanaugh

Utah-based beverage brand Swig has added Angela Kavanaugh as director of people and culture. Kavanaugh brings to the soda concept more than a dozen years of human resources experience. Most recently, she served as head of people at tech firm Narvar. Swig, which has 60 locations in seven states, said Kavanaugh will ensure the company’s culture remains strong as it expands around the country.
