Foodservice distributor Performance Food Group (PFG) has acquired Orion Food Systems Holdings, a supplier of branded prepared foods sold mostly in convenience stores, from the private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners.

The sale price and other financial details were not disclosed.

Orion supplies about 1,500 c-stores with branded breakfast items, sandwiches, pizza and snacks, along with means of merchandising the products. It was founded in 1983 and is based in South Dakota.

Although Performance Food Group reigns as one of the largest distributors in the restaurant industry, it has recently been enlarging its presence in the c-store business. It recently acquired Core-Mark, a major distributor of foodservice products to the c-store industry.

The company reported revenues of $13.77 billion for the third quarter ended April 1.
