Red Lobster under fire for Twitter ‘fail’

Red Lobster appeared to be asleep at the keyboard this weekend, as it came under fire from Twitter fans who couldn’t seem to believe the chain was missing the chance to respond to a shout-out from one of the music industry’s biggest stars.

The seafood chain took around eight hours to answer to the Saturday release of Beyonce’s latest single, “Formation,” which features the racy line, “When he f--- me good, I take his ass to Red Lobster.”

Twitter fans were unamused by the delay, with some even calling for the chain’s social media team to be fired:

Adding insult to injury, Red Lobster was also the subject of a Monday report released by Inside Edition that claims the chain’s lobster bisque sometimes contains cheaper meat than advertised.
