LAS VEGAS — Tobacco Media Group is moving its Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) to May 12-14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The conference, previously scheduled for Jan. 27 to 29, will still be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The show supports the tobacco, vapor and alternative industries. An opportunity arose to move TPE to May, and Tobacco Media Group decided to make the change so all who attend the expo will have peace of mind.

“It is our hope that the later timing allows the uncertainties surrounding COVID-19 to improve and gets us well out of range of the traditional winter flu season,” Ben Stimpson, managing director of Tobacco Media Group, said. “Plus, the warmer weather of May gives us more options to safely execute the business and networking aspects of the show. We are committed to producing a successful TPE 2021 for all of our exhibitors and attendees and feel confident that this new timing has everyone’s best interests in mind.”

Tobacco Media Group will continue to gather safety insights and suggestions from the tobacco industry and will release more details at a future date. The group is also working closely with the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Las Vegas Visitor’s bureau to stay up-to-date on the latest safety guidance advisories for the city.

The exhibition space, show floor layout and convention center hall will be the same as initially planned. Visit TPE’s website for more information.
