Nacho Fries are back at Taco Bell, this time flavored with Serrabanero Ranch Sauce, a product created through a partnership with Secret Aardvark, a Portland, Oregon-based condiment company.

Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries make their debut Thursday for a limited time, although according to Taco Bell, this is “the longest run ever” for the signature fries. They’ll be on the menu nearly all summer long, selling for $4.99.

The crispy fries are seasoned with Mexican spices and topped with slow-roasted chicken, three-cheese blend, reduced-fat sour cream, nacho cheese sauce and pico de gallo. But in this latest iteration, they’re finished with Secret Aardvark’s Serrabanero sauce—a combo of green tomatoes, roasted tomatillos, serrano and green habanero pepper flavors—blended with creamy ranch.

“We’re thrilled to bring back fan-favorite Nacho Fries for their 11th return, in a whole new way, with an extra flavorful partnership with Secret Aardvark,” Liz Matthews, Taco Bell's global food innovations officer, said in a statement. “Secret Aardvark’s dedication to bold flavors and culinary innovation makes them the perfect partner for Taco Bell and our iconic Nacho Fries. Together, we’re taking flavor exploration to new heights, ensuring our fans experience the ultimate taste sensation with every bite.”

Stacy Moritz, owner of the small hot sauce company said “the opportunity to bring Secret Aardvark’s finely crafted moxie to the beloved Nacho Fries nationwide is a significant milestone for us. The innovative blend of heat and zest in our new Serrabanero Ranch Sauce combined with the iconic Nacho Fries creates an irresistible match made in heaven.”

The collaboration was officially announced in February at Live Mas Live in Las Vegas. At the event, Irvine, California-based Taco Bell revealed its 2024 marketing calendar, filled with new ingredients and menu items. Among the most newsworthy are the fast-food chain’s Chicken Cantina Menu centered on slow-roasted chicken, a few boldly flavored beverages and an Ice Cream Chocolate Taco. Several partnerships were announced as well, including one with Salt & Straw for the aforementioned ice cream taco and another with Tajin, the Mexican spice mix, on a beverage, taco and snack.

To tie into Secret Aardvark’s roots for the release of the new fries, Taco Bell is teaming up with Portland-based artist Bryce Wong on a secretive Tuesday Drop for 300 Taco Bell Fire! Tier Rewards Members. To find out more, Rewards Members are encouraged to visit the chain’s app on Tuesday, the day of the drop.
