How The Research Works
The editors of Restaurant Business this year decided to rebrand our Future 50 ranking to highlight chains with more consistent growth and to take into account pandemic-related sales concerns. Every year, we will highlight the strongest growing restaurant chains that did not make the Technomic Top 500. To qualify for this ranking, restaurants need at least 15 locations. This year’s ranking highlighted chains with three-year growth rates of at least 20%.
