Put a new twist on your menu with hush puppy coated seafood. Deep fried flounder topped with avocado, bacon and southwestern aioli.
Ingredients
1 – 4-5 oz. South Paws™ Hush Puppy Coated Flounder Fillet
1 Fresh Ciabatta Roll
½ Avocado thinly sliced
4 slices of cooked bacon
2 large pieces romaine lettuce
Southwestern Aioli
Favorite chips
Southwestern Aioli
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2-3 chipotle peppers in adobe sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
1 garlic clove minced
Steps
- Cook bacon according to package directions or until done & crisp
- Deep Fry South Paws™ Hush Puppy Coated Flounder Fillet at 360°F for 3-4 minutes
- Slice the ciabatta roll length wise and coat the inside top and bottom of bun with Southwestern Aioli (Ciabatta roll can be toasted and buttered prior to adding Southwestern aioli)
- Place a layer of Romaine lettuce, avocados, and bacon on the inside bottom of bun
- Place Flounder Fillet on top of bacon
- Top with other half of bun and serve with favorite side of chips
