AGAR

The Nautifish brand was developed in part to help foster awareness of sustainability issues affecting the oceans. Via sales of the brand, AGAR will donate money to Ocean Alliance, a Massachusetts-based organization dedicated to the stewardship of the ocean environment through research and education.

“It was a goal from day one to have a charitable and sustainable component to this new brand,” states Karen Bressler, president and CEO of AGAR. “The public has an appetite for fresh, quality seafood products but also a growing appetite for companies that give back in a meaningful and impactful way. We believe we are doing all of this through Nautifish. We also have very stringent requirements and our vendors understand the caliber of seafood we expect.”

AGAR’s Nautifish line currently includes lobster meat, scallops, clams, mussels, shrimp and haddock. Other seafood items will be added soon, according to the company. The products are delivered in recyclable or reusable packaging, and any marketing products produced are made from sustainable materials, befitting the mission of the Nautifish brand.
