Anchor Packaging Announces Two Appointments

Don Brockman was appointed national account manager, foodservice. Prior to his appointment, Don served as national account manager for the Pactiv Corp. for six years, where he developed and implemented strategies to expand existing business and initiate new opportunities with high profile customers including McDonald's, Burger King, Darden, Subway, Arby's and Denny's.

Previous to his position at Pactiv, Don held similar national account positions at Tenneco Packaging and Mobil Chemical going back to 1992. At Mobil, he also held positions as market development manager, product manager, district sales manager and other positions of responsibility that will add to Anchor's already credible reputation in the marketplace.

Frank Baumann, director of national accounts, foodservice, observed, "Don's arrival coincides with Anchor's rapidly growing foodservice presence and will help provide a sales platform as we launch new and innovative foodservice products in 2006."

In addition, Andy Rikand was named director of information technology. Rikand joins Anchor from Accenture, where he held a number of positions during his nine-year tenure, culminating with the position of senior manager.

Anchor's customer focus and continued strong growth have necessitated the implementation of a new ERP system, according to the company. Rikand will lead this key initiative, along with overseeing all IT activities at the company. Rikand's experience with enterprise-scale IT projects and ERP systems, make him uniquely suited to lead this function at this time, the company said.
