Favorite Foods Breaks Ground on 25,000 sq.-ft Expansion

The official ground breaking ceremony for the expansion took place on Thursday, Feb. 21. Attendees included employees of Favorite Foods; Chris and Jeff Barstow, co-founders of the company; Mayor Michael Micucci of Somersworth; Craig Wheeler, director of Development Services for Somersworth; and associates from CMC, the company contracted to complete the expansion.

Golbon-member Favorite Foods, a New Hampshire family-owned independent distributorship, was founded two decades ago by brothers Jeff and Chris Barstow. company has grown to be a $30 million supplier of food, paper, and chemicals to New Hampshire and Maine independent restaurants. The expansion will greatly enhance the existing 22,000 sq. ft. facility and is expected to be completed in July of this year, company spokesman said.
