IFDA to Convene Bird Flu Preparatory Meeting

"The major priority will be to help IFDA members in their efforts to begin their own planning for business continuity during a potential pandemic," according to Jon Eisen, director of government relations.

The committee will hear from local officials regarding the expected impact of a pandemic, representatives from customers to discuss their preparations, as well as IFDA members detailing their planning.

"I also expect to have an IFDA member present their plan to the group. The overall goal is to work up a document that can be used as a template for each distributor to use to create their own plans," Eisen told ID Access.

The meeting will take place at the Sheraton Premiere in Tyson's Corner, VA, on Wednesday, June 7.
