Taking a cue from a key sales driver at investor Buffalo Wild Wings, made-to-order pizza concept PizzaRev this week launched a line of custom hot sauces that customers can request on their pizzas at the restaurant’s front counter.

The six signature sauces, which include such flavor options as garlic habanero, chipotle and datil pepper, were directly inspired by the sauces Buffalo Wing Wings offers customers to spice up their chicken wings or flatbreads, according to 27-unit PizzaRev.

“Our new line of sauces adds to PizzaRev’s unique, fully customized dining experience,” said Nicholas Eckerman, COO of PizzaRev. “Our guests now have the opportunity to ‘Rev It Up’ in a whole new way.”

Buffalo Wild Wings holds a minority stake in PizzaRev and also operates several franchises of the pizza chain.
