Progressive Group Sets 3rd Semiannual Business Summit

RICHMOND, VA - The Progressive Group Alliance Spring 2005 Business Summit will be held in Anaheim, CA March 12-17, the marketing group announced.

The marketing group's supplier and distributor-members will discuss current and prospective business, and participate in education sessions. The event also provides an opportunity for suppliers and manufacturers to showcase products, create sales excitement and map out strategic goals with distributors from each of the group's divisions.

Many suppliers choose this event to roll out new products. Distributors from Pocahontas Foods USA, All Kitchens of America, Bakery Distributors of America, Buonamici International and, for the first time, Plee-Zing and Lil Brave will be in attendance.

"The Summit is such a great event and really gives us a chance to network and meet with Distributors, and also provides a lot of great new opportunities to follow up on," Connie Holston, senior vice-president of foodservice sales, Awrey Bakeries, a member based in Livonia, MI.

In addition to two buying/selling sessions that will feature 135 suppliers per session, there will also be informational booths for Progressive Group Alliance Business Services, Quality Assurance Services, and PERCS. The highlight of the summit will be the Annual Awards Banquet on March 15, during which outstanding suppliers and distributors for 2004 will be recognized. More than 800 people are expected to attend.
