Reinke Named NRA Legislative Affairs Director

Reinke will report to John Gay, senior vice president of government affairs and public policy.

"The National Restaurant Association has a strong presence on Capitol Hill and beyond, representing the nation's 925,000 restaurant-and-foodservice outlets and their 12.5 million employees, and furthering our pro-employee/pro-employer public policy agenda" said Steven C. Anderson, president and ceo of the association. "Michelle will be an integral part of our public policy team, infusing her experience with key industry issues, such as estate tax and food and agriculture policy. We are excited to have her on board."

Reinke most recently served as associate director of legislative affairs with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA), where she handled a range of issues related to international trade and tax policy.

In this capacity, she served as the staff director for NCBA's tax policymaking committee and as liaison to the administration, members of Congress, NCBA membership organizations, and U.S. and international agricultural and business groups. Prior to this position, Reinke held several positions with NCBA.

A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA., and a native of Vernon, CT., Reinke currently resides in Arlington, VA.
