He had previously served as vice president of sales for Sara Lee Coffee & Tea.

In addition to building new business in the segment, O’Connell will serve as a mentor to the entire Clark sales team, according to the company’s announcement.  He will develop tactical sales initiatives designed to grow the vending and OCS business as a whole, including packaging, supplies and beverage items for operators in this segment.  His depth of knowledge in the beverage industry will have a significant impact on Clark’s presence in the vending and OCS business, the company said.

Clark Products was founded in 1912 and recently celebrated its 96th Anniversary as a paper-jan/san specialist servicing the Midwest and Northeast. Clark recently adopted a segmented approach to the market as it refines its niche as one of the leading specialty distributors in the United States.
