After 74 years, Gene & Georgetti expands

Gene & Georgetti, a landmark in Chicago’s fine-dining scene, has opened another branch after 74 years as a single-restaurant operation.

The Durpetti family’s second steakhouse is located in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Ill., a growing convention and meetings destination near O’Hare International Airport. Paired with the restaurant is a new events venue run by the Durpettis, The Estate by Gene & Georgetti.

Three private dining rooms can host groups of 10 to 125 people.

The restaurant measures 3,600 square feet and seats 240 guests. In addition to the Gene & Georgetti menu, the new outlet features small plates and sliders in its bar.
