GRAND RAPIDS, MI (February 19, 2013)—Gordon Food Service announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase substantially all the assets of Market Day, a food fundraising company headquartered in Itasca, IL. The transaction is expected to close in the next thirty days. Following the acquisition, Market Day will operate as a fundraising company of GFS Marketplace®, providing programs and solutions to help meet the needs of schools and organizations across the country.
