ID News--Integrated Distribution Solutions acquires Thomas Wms. logistics consultant

Integrated Distribution Solutions, L.L.C. (IDS), Omaha, NE, a leading foodservice distribution software solutions provider, has acquired Thomas M. Williams & Associates, Inc., Atlanta, a major warehouse, labor productivity and logistics consulting business. The acquisition aims to enhance IDS' growing warehouse automation business with workflow and productivity improvement expertise.

Thomas M. Williams & Associates will operate as a wholly-owned division of IDS, under the Thomas Williams name and management of current CEO Thomas M. Williams. The division will continue to offer independent and impartial warehouse and logistics consulting services for users of IDS technologies as well as those using third-party software applications.

"This move illustrates our commitment not only to build and integrate proven warehouse and labor automation technology but also to help our customers effectively apply that technology to their businesses," comments Todd P. Michaud, IDS president. "Our new division will have the primary responsibility of providing our customers with unbiased thought-leadership and warehouse consultation, whether or not that customer uses IDS software."

"We have watched IDS grow and mature as a technology and services company over the past few years, and we have been extremely impressed with their business model," says Thomas Williams. "Their focus on being the industry leader, and their services and integration depth, make IDS a strong complement to our existing services capabilities."
