J.E. Hicks Distribution Opens Customer Service Showroom

NATCHEZ, MS (May 22, 2011 - Natchez Democrat)—For 66 years, J.E. Hicks Distributing has focused on its relationship with customers and evolving with the changing marketplace. The full-line foodservice company found a way to further that goal, as they celebrated the opening of a new customer service showroom May 9.

The company, which services businesses with food and supplies within a 65-mile radius of Natchez, always sold wholesale food to the public, but the new customer service counter offers greater accessibility to the walk-ins.

Owner and vice president, John Hicks III, said in the past, the general public was not aware they could purchase food in bulk for their own families.

“It’s always been a big misconception you have to be a business to buy from us, but we are wholesale to the public,” Hicks said.

Beginning in 2010, an advertising campaign reminding the public of this was so successful, the Hicks family decided to open the customer service showroom.
