Matthews Named Progressive Group President Ahead of Jochim's Retirement

{mosimage}Matthews joined the Performance Food Group in 1999 as the director of internal audit. He moved to Progressive Group Alliance (at the time Pocahontas Foods USA) five years ago as the senior vice president of finance and technology. Prior to joining PFG, Matthews spent six years in various leadership positions with both national and regional foodservice distributorships Companies. Matthews began his career with a large Public Accounting firm where he earned his CPA designation in the late 1980s.

Matthews will immediately begin taking on responsibilities to prepare him to assume the role of president for Progressive Group Alliance effective at the turn of the year, according to the marketing group. He will begin leading the business planning and budgeting for Progressive Group Alliance and Afflink, as well as working closely with the leaderships of PFG, Afflink and Progressive Group Alliance to understand better their roles and vision. He will also focus on synergies between Afflink, PFG and Progressive Group Alliance and work with the group's Business Partners to ensure optimum cooperation.
