McLane Extends Distribution Agreement with G&M Oil

The new agreement calls for McLane to service all of G&M locations until 2010.

Headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA, G&M Oil is the largest Chevron direct serve retailer in North America, in addition to operating Shell and Valero branded locations. It operates more than 120 locations with additional growth plans under development.

G&M Oil has reportedly aggressively grown in the Southern California market through acquisitions and site development. The business success of each location is a result of the employee training and coaching from G&M Oil's management team, according to industry analysts.

George J. Pearson, Vice President-Director of Stores, said, "Our service agreement with McLane provides us the confidence that our grocery distribution will be managed by a team that is committed to the success of G&M Oil. We believe in outstanding customer service and so does McLane."

Headquartered in here, McLane operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry specific software company. A wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., the company services 50,000 customer locations.
