On the Border names Ashley Zickefoose CMO

On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina Tuesday announced the appointment of Ashley Zickefoose as Chief Marketing Officer.

Zickefoose, whose new position is effective Sept. 8, will report directly to On the Border President Ward Whitworth, who joined the 150-unit casual-dining brand one year ago after the departure of CEO Steve Clark.

In her most recent role, she served as principal of brand-strategy agency BES Consulting Group, which boasts a client roster with a number of foodservice and CPG companies, including Yum! Brands and Kraft Foods.

“(Ashley’s) diverse wealth of experience in brand strategy makes her the right choice for On The Border,” Whitworth said in a statement. “Her positive energy, high accountability and strong focus on delivering results make her a great addition to the OTB team.”
