Domino’s customers nationwide will soon be able to tweet for pizza, as the chain is set to roll out a tweet-to-order system starting May 20.
While other chains have tested tweet-to-order systems in the past, such as Starbucks’ “Tweet-A-Coffee” promotion in 2013, USA Today reports that Domino’s will be the restaurant industry’s first major player to use Twitter as an ongoing ordering platform.
Paring down the ordering process further, frequent Domino’s customers will be able to order by tweeting a pizza emoji to Domino’s Twitter handle.
“It’s the epitome of convenience,” Domino’s CEO Patrick Doyle told USA Today. "We've got this down to a five-second exchange."
