Taco Bell will soon drop a Fritos taco bomb on the world

In what is clearly a sign of the impending apocalypse, Taco Bell has officially confirmed the existence of the Fritos taco. The existence of such a mythical beast has long been suspected, but now CEO Brian Nichol tells Business Insider that "The new menu item, which is stuffed with chili and wrapped in a Fritos shell, will launch in a few test markets this year."

The Fritos taco is clearly an attempt to capitalize on the monstrous success of the Doritos Locos tacos, of which more than one billion have been sold since launching back in 2012. (Fritos have also popped up recently on Papa John's pizza.) Other recent Taco Bell absurdities include biscuit breakfast tacos.
