Ruby Tuesday on Monday named a pair of new executives as it works to recover from the pandemic and its bankruptcy filing last year.

The Maryville, Tenn.-based casual-dining chain named Kathy Buckley its chief financial officer and promoted George Evans to chief operating officer.

The two “have tremendous experience in the restaurant industry and will be invaluable assets as we continue to strengthen our operations and drive the long-term profitability of Ruby Tuesday,” CEO Shawn Lederman said in a statement.

Evans started with Ruby Tuesday as a training manager in 1991 and ultimately became a multiunit operator and then a regional director. He left the company in 2000 to work at Specialty Restaurant Group and then P.F. Chang’s before he rejoined Ruby Tuesday in 2007. He has been vice president of operations excellence since 2016.

Buckley has worked in the restaurant and retail industries for 35 years, including at Bruegger’s Bagels, The Rug Doctor and RadioShack.
