Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc. To Acquire David Puccia & Company

CONKLIN, NY (January 7, 2011)—Maines Paper & Food Service Inc, headquartered in Conklin, NY, has entered into an agreement to acquire David Puccia & Co, a wholesale produce distributor in Watertown, New York. Puccia services Watertown and all of the Upstate New York Area. The transaction is anticipated to close in February of 2011.

David Puccia & Co was founded in 1930 by Lawrence A. Puccia who began distributing fresh fruits and vegetables in Northern New York State. Now under fourth generation management, David Puccia & Co. continues to provide quality produce with exceptional customer service. The company has annual revenues exceeding $5 million dollars.

Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc will be merging the operations of the former CFM Food Distributors into Puccia and operate the acquired business as Maines Watertown, a division of Maines Paper & Food Service, Inc. As part of the agreement, David Puccia will remain in an executive leadership role along with his two sons, Steven and Vincent.
