Domino’s is adding yet another way for customers to order pizzas with a minimum of effort, though the option is limited right now to the United Kingdom: Patrons can request the delivery of a pie merely by pressing a button.
The Easy Button is an actual button, embedded in a wedge-shaped base that’s packaged in a miniature pizza box. Users input their pizza preferences into the Domino’s app and then sync with the button device via Bluetooth. Once that step is taken, they can place an order just by pushing the button.
One-touch ordering is also available via the Domino’s app, but the new option spares customers the labor of having to pick up their phones, find the app, open it and then press.
Domino’s already enables members of its loyalty program to order a pie by texting a pizza emoji.
It is not clear if the new Easy Button will be sold to customers or provided free.
