Domino’s stayed on a sales tear through the third quarter, increasing domestic same-store sales by 10.5 percent and international comps by 7.7 percent.
But an adjustment in casualty insurance reserves, necessitated by an increase in the number and sizes of claims, pared the increase in net income to 6.2 percent, to $37.8 million. The company reallocated $5.7 million to cover the upswing.
Revenues rose 8.5 percent, to $484.7 million.
The Domino’s chain consisted of 12,119 restaurants in September, 5,112 of which are in the United States.
