Ripp Named GM at Hobart



Previously founder and president of Zurich Group L.P., Ripp leads the global development and production of Traulsen brand refrigerators/freezers and related food equipment for the foodservice and food retail industries. His office is located at Traulsen's manufacturing plant in Fort Worth, Texas. He reports to John McDonough, president of Hobart Foodservice.

As president of Zurich Group, Ripp led a business restructuring consulting practice that focused on growth-oriented industrial and consumer product manufacturing companies. Prior to founding Zurich Group, Ripp held a variety of senior executive and leadership positions at Flintlock, Ltd., Franke Federal Home Products, Standard Brands Paint Co., Sunbeam Corp., Black & Decker, General Electric and Gould Inc.

Ripp has a Bachelor's degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he also earned a B.S. in economics. He also has a MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin. He participated in post-graduate studies in economics and applied mathematics at Marquette University.
