TGI Fridays enhances online offerings through Amazon Alexa and Amazon Pay

TGI Fridays consumers are now able to place an order, pay their bill or make a reservation through Amazon Alexa and Amazon Pay.

Beginning today, the new skill will be available at participating TGI Fridays locations, with a full national rollout planned by 2018.

Using just their voice, guests will be able to access the full menu as well as receive exclusive online offers and side recommendations for each entree based on food pairings chosen by Fridays executive chefs.

After enabling the skill, users can navigate the feature using simple commands such as "Place order" to place a Fridays to-go order or "Reserve a table" to make a reservation.

“From the launch of our Fridays mobile app, to our order-ahead feature on the Amazon app and our social media chatbots powered by Conversable, Fridays has committed to delivering a great guest experience both inside and outside of the restaurant,” said Sherif Mityas, chief information officer at TGI Fridays, in a statement. “Working with Amazon has allowed us to continue elevating our digital offerings, making enjoying Fridays even more expandable for our guests.”
