Domino’s Pizza on Thursday promoted Art D’Elia to be the company’s chief marketing officer.

D’Elia came to the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based chain in 2018 and has been the chief brand and innovation officer, leading U.S. product development and innovation, television advertising and field marketing. He then gained responsibility for digital marketing.

In his expanded role, he will run all global marketing initiatives for the brand, overseeing U.S. marketing and advertising and working with global master franchisee companies. D’Elia will report to Domino’s President Russell Weiner, who said D’Elia “has been instrumental in building strong relationships with our U.S. franchisees.”

Weiner also called D’Elia “a highly expected leader” whose “strategic and creative leadership have made us better as a company.”

D’Elia spent seven years with Danone before coming to Domino’s, and previously spent seven years in marketing at Pepsico.
