Dunkin’ Brands said this week that it has promoted Scott Murphy to president of Dunkin’ Americas.

Murphy, who had been U.S. chief operating officer, takes over the role from Dave Hoffmann, who remains CEO of Dunkin’ Brands.

Meanwhile, Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin’ has named Dana Reid vice president of field marketing for Dunkin’ U.S.

Murphy is a 15-year veteran of Dunkin’ and will oversee all aspects of operations, restaurant development, franchising, field marketing, supply chain and consumer packaged goods for Dunkin’s 10,000 locations in North and South America.

He joined Dunkin’ Brands in 2004 as director of international supply chain and became vice president of strategic supply that year. He has been U.S. COO since 2018.

Hoffmann called Murphy “a rare leader who is both strategic and impactful,” and said that “Scott has earned the respect of his peers, forged strong relationships with franchisees and suppliers and contributed significantly to the company’s success with a strong focus on franchisee profitability.”

Reid has been with Dunkin’ since 2008, when she joined as U.S. field marketing manager. She has been senior director of field marketing since 2018. Hoffmann called Reid “a strong people manager with keen marketing skills and solid franchisee relationships.”

“With the promotion of these two deserving individuals, I am confident we will better serve our guests, better partner with our franchisees and continue to move the Dunkin’ U.S. business forward,” Hoffmann said.
