Drew French, Your Pie’s founder and president, said in a statement that McDougall “will help us navigate high volume growth while maintaining the unique experience that has always helped define the Your Pie brand.”

McDougall led Back Yard from 2013 through May of this year, a year after its sale to private-equity firm Axum Capital Partners. He also is a former vice president of operations with Focus Brands, overseeing operations at Cinnabon and Carvel.

“I see tremendous potential in this brand and in the fast-casual pizza sector,” McDougall said in a statement.

He joins a chain that was founded in 2008 and currently operates more than 60 locations around the U.S.
