WOWorks, parent company of several fast casuals including Saladworks, has named Kyle Mark to the newly created post of chief information officer.

Mark will help the operation, which also includes Frutta Bowls, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh and The Simple Greek, as it debuts a host of technological updates.

Mark comes to WOWorks after serving as director of operations for QU POS, a point-of-sale company. Before that, he held director of technology roles at Ciccio Restaurant Group, Gecko’s Hospitality and Datum Technologies.

“Kyle understands that while dealing with complex technology implantation and issues and working on long-term strategy for our group, he has the responsibility to serve our franchisees and our team,” WOWorks CEO Kelly Roddy said in a statement. “Elevating our service and support level will be one of the highest priorities and we know he is prepared and highly qualified to do so.”

WOWorks is streamlining its technology partners across all four of its brands, to help franchisees “open their businesses to additional channels of revenue, such as ghost kitchens and virtual brands,” as well as co-branding, the company said in a statement.

The company is updating its point-of-sale systems, as well as its loyalty and online ordering platforms; and processing compliance provider.

“Our goal is to make the lives of our franchisees easier,” Roddy said. “These new updates are easy to use and make restaurant operations simpler. Instead of juggling between multiple systems, we are paring down to the best technology systems.”
