This rich take on the BLT launched in Subway stores in Japan earlier this year. In addition to bacon, lettuce and tomato, the ingredients include four cheeses—Gouda, Gorgonzola, mascarpone and Parmesan—as well as Asian-style salami.
1 sub roll (6-in. size)
Shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes
4 slices bacon, cooked
4 slices semi-dried sausage
2 slices Gouda cheese
¾ oz. Gorgonzola cream cheese
¾ oz. mascarpone cheese
2 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Sliced green bell pepper, onions and pickles, optional
1. Split roll lengthwise in half. Spread bottom half with mayonnaise and layer lettuce and tomatoes on top.
2. Complete the sandwich by layering on bacon, sausage and cheeses. Add peppers, onions and pickles, if desired, and cover with top of roll.
