Experimentation is fueling the mixology movement. One of the techniques that is currently catching on is the combining of wine and spirits into a single cocktail. The Heathman’s take on the trend in a margarita topped with pinot noir—a wine that’s local to Oregon.
1 1/2 oz. tequila
3/4 oz. agave syrup
1/4 oz. triple sec
1 oz. pinot noir
Rosemary sprig, for garnish
- Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in tequila, agave and triple sec. Shake well.
- Pour into cocktail glass and top with pinot noir. Garnish with rosemary. Serve immediately.
