COPPELL, TX (July 9, 2013)—Houston-based Glazier Foods Company, a broadline foodservice distributor, is expanding and relocating their food distribution center to Coppell, Texas. The new location provides Glazier Foods with room for additional growth.
“The move to Coppell will be positive on a number of fronts. The city gets a new tax payer and new job opportunities, customers will get a state-of-the-art facility to be serviced from, and our employees will be able to operate in a more efficient warehouse with improved shipping and receiving,” says John Miller, President of Glazier Foods Company.
The move came about due to the need for additional freezer space. When looking for a new facility in the Northern Texas region, the food company took into consideration the area for new business accessibility and ample parking for future expansion initiatives.
“As our business grows, we have realized the need for a more efficient and spatial service area,” says Bob Sarvis, Executive Vice President of Operations.
Coppell’s warehouse, including the freezer and cooler, is a spacious 294,313 square feet of space. The warehouse design will also allow them to store a broader variety of products. The new facility also boasts a large shipping and receiving area.
“Glazier Foods is always looking for opportunities to expand shipments and territories. The Coppell facility will allow us to take full advantage of any opportunity that arises,” says John Miller, president of Glazier Foods Company.
A ribbon cutting with the Coppell Chamber of Commerce will commence at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24th.
