TGI Fridays names Robert Palleschi CEO

TGI Fridays has named Hilton executive Robert Palleschi CEO of the casual-dining chain, the Dallas Business Journal reports.

Palleschi replaces Nick Shepherd, who resigned in October after serving as CEO since 2009.

During his tenure with Hilton, Palleschi oversaw franchising operations for the company’s flagship brand, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, according to the Business Journal. Last year, TGI Fridays completed a major refranchising effort, making the company 90 percent franchised in the U.S.
