Wendy's talks about its chicken-sandwich test

Happy National Burger Day, Orlando! In light of the delectable day, we chatted with one of the nation’s largest burger chains about a new menu item being tested here in the City Beautiful.

Wendy’s in late July began testing its new grilled chicken sandwich at all its Orlando locations. While it’s not a burger, it’s a new way for the fast-food chain to offer a healthier option for guests.

The new sandwich is made with an all-white meat chicken breast fillet topped with a tangy herb sauce, fresh spring mix and tomato, and served on a toasted multi-grain bun that includes nine different grains and seeds such as white sesame seeds, red quinoa and rolled oats.

Orlando is one of four test cities, which also includes Gainesville, Kansas City, Mo., and Austin, Texas.
