Dole Releases 2011 Fruit Pairing List

(February 15, 2011)—The 2011 foodservice trend predictions have hit the wires with healthy ingredients, product transparency and value once again top of mind with consumers. Adding its corporate resources and fruit expertise to the knowledge base, Dole has introduced the "2011 DOLE Fruit Pairings"—a list of ten fruit-forward and flavorful combinations that enable chefs to satisfy demand with tasty, nutritious and value-driven dishes.

This year, Dole enlisted its operator base to rank their top 10 fruit flavor pairings from an extensive list of popular combinations. They voted their favorites as follows:

  2. Apple & Pork
  3. Mandarin Oranges & Yogurt
  4. Strawberry & Almonds
  5. Blueberry & Cranberry
  6. Cherry & Lime
  7. Pineapple & Fiery Peppers
  8. Mango & Ginger
  9. Melon & Bacon
  10. Peach & Spinach
