Ginsberg's Hires Master Chef Dale Miller As First-Ever Food Consultant

HUDSON, NY (April 29, 2011)—Ginsberg's Foods Inc., ranked 45th in last year's ID Report Top 50 distributors, recently named Dale Miller its "culinary ambassador," the first food consultant ever for the 102-year-old company.

Miller, a Certified Master Chef, is working to increase his national personal brand, something he said at the time he moved from Dale Miller: The Art of Dining—the Albany restaurant recently renamed Taste after its owners and Miller severed ties—to Sperry's in Saratoga as executive chef.

Over the years, he has consulted for such mega companies as Cabot Cheese, McCadam Cheese, Red Lobster, Miller’s Select Crabmeat, Olive Garden and California Almonds.

Ginsberg's was founded as a local grocery store in 1909 by Samuel and Mary Ginsberg on Market Place in downtown Hudson. In 1946, their son, Morton, joined the family business and led its expansion, with the aid of his sons, David and Ira. Morton died in 2007, and David and his wife, Nancy, now run the company. They employ more than 200 and serve customers throughout 49 counties in six states.
