GPS Hospitality acquires 60 Burger King franchises

Burger King franchisee GPS Hospitality Tuesday announced its purchase of 60 Burger King units in Michigan, the single-largest purchase made by the Atlanta-based company, which will now operate 196 Burger King locations across the U.S.

The 60 units were acquired from TEAM Schostack Family Restaurants, a franchisee of the Applebee’s, MOD Pizza and Del Taco brands.

“These new restaurants mark continued growth for GPS Hospitality in the Midwest, and we look forward to bringing our brand of service and great experience to the people of Michigan,” GPS Hospitality CEO Tom Garrett said in a statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
