Grasmick Produce, Segovia

MONTEREY, CA (October 7, 2009)—PRO*ACT has announced that Grasmick Produce, Boise, Idaho, and Segovia’s Distributing, El Paso, Texas, have joined its distribution network.

Grasmick Produce is a 54-year-old family-owned firm that was a PRO*ACT distributor from 2004 to 2008, and has now rejoined the group. The company operates from a third-party inspected, 32,000-square-foot distribution center and will service the southwestern Idaho and northeastern Oregon regions for PRO*ACT managed accounts.

Segovia’s Distributing Inc. was established in 1998 by its president and ceo Juan Manuel ("Manny") Segovia, along with several family members. A dedicated produce specialist, Segovia does 70 percent of its sales to commercial restaurants, both independents and chains, from its distribution centers in El Paso and Albuquerque.  Their delivery reach extends into southern Texas. In addition to restaurants, the company serves schools, hospitals, supermarkets and military installations.
