Church’s Chicken makes additions to leadership team

The Church’s Chicken and Texas Chicken brands have announced two new additions to their leadership teams, with Russ Sumrall (below) joining both brands as a director of international business development and Mitch Langston as director of international marketing. Langston, who began his new role in August, has previous franchising and operations experience with such restaurant chains as Chili’s, Popeyes and Applebee’s.

“Both Russ and Mitch possess extensive experience within the industry, which will help steer new and existing franchisees in the right direction for growth and success,” Tony Moralejo, EVP of international business for both chicken chains, said in a statement.

Additionally, Tanya Mareno (below) has joined the Church’s brand as director of domestic new business. Mareno comes to Church’s from the Popeyes quick-service brand.
